What are the characteristics of the use of earth auger?

(1) The earth auger uses a long auger to form a hole, and the concrete can be injected into the bottom of the hole through the center pipe of the drill pipe. It can not only complete drilling and pile formation at one time, but also can be used for dry drilling, grouting replacement and other construction methods.
(2) The power head of earth auger adopts three-ring reducer with double drive and large central through hole, which has high bearing and overload capacity, compact structure, low noise and long service life.
(3) The pile frame of earth auger adopts hydraulic system, which can raise and lower the mast column by itself. Walking, turning and alignment are accurate and reliable, with high construction efficiency and low labor intensity.

What are the dimensions of earth auger?

The diameter of the earth auger varies from 2 inches to 9 inches. The 2" and 3" diameter augers can be powered by regular power drills. They range in length from 7 inches to 48 inches. Larger digging augers (4, 5, 7, 8 and 9 inches in diameter) all require a gas power head or at least a 60V power output for use. Check out our Auger Sizes page for more help in determining the right auger size for you.

What is the main role of earth auger?

What you can do with the  extendable earth auger depends on the size of the auger. Here's a quick guide to help you choose the best tool for your needs:
The 2" and 3" earth auger are perfect for gardeners and allow you to grow bulbs, plugs and bedding plants quickly and easily. This is also a good size for root aeration and installing smaller plant stakes or poles. A three-inch auger can do the same job as a 2-inch auger, but is also great for horizontal drilling if you need to run pipes or wires under the sidewalk. This is also a good size for mixing paint, cement or soil.
Four- and five-inch earth augers drill a larger hole and are great for setting up smaller fence posts or for growing annuals and perennials in quart-sized pots.
7-inch diameter auger is large enough to grow annuals, perennials, trees or shrubs in gallon-sized pots. It also drilled a hole big enough for the 4×4 post.
The 8" and 9" diameter earth auger are perfect for growing potted plants in 2 gallon containers. These are large enough to accommodate larger fence posts or 6×6 posts.
